The journey from Kampala usually takes 8 hours but spare a full day. It’s important to have an early start.

The distance from Kasese is 170 Km covered in 5 hours on nonstop driving.
-
From Kabale and the South
Drive 108 Kms from Kabale to Buhoma. Journey time is about 3 hours. Follow the Kisoro road out of Kabale for 18 Km to Hamurwa, then turn right at the turn off sign posted for Buhoma and continue for 60Km via Kanungu to Kanyantorogo where you turn off to Butogota.

This is unusual but most exciting way to get to Buhoma from Nkuringo. The hike runs through the national park to the South Western Trail head of Nkuringo and the hike is not steep.
