Citizenship By Registration

  1. Due to Long stay; this is issued to a person that has continuously lived in the country for 10 years and has contributed to the socio-economic development of Uganda.

      2. Valid Certificate Good Conduct from Interpol (issued within last 6 months)
      3. Current Passport Bio Data Page
      4. Recent Passport size photograph

    • Requirements

      1. Recommendation letter and National Identity card of 2 referees (Ugandan by birth of substantial standing)

      3. Current Passport Bio Data Page
      4. Recent Passport size photograph
      5. Medical report of sanity from a certified Doctor

      8. Evidence of marriage - certified copy of marriage certificate by URSB (If marriage is contracted outside Uganda should be certified by home country/Embassy)

      10. Evidence of Spouse Being Ugandan (copy of passport, national Id (for registered spouses attach registration certificate)
      11. Evidence of five years’ continuous legal stay in Uganda (copy of entry permit/CR/DP-Spouse)

Citizenship By Naturalisation

  • Requirements

    1. Recommendation letter and National Identity cards of 2 referees (Ugandan by birth of substantial standing)
    2. Valid Certificate Good Conduct from Interpol (issued within last 6 months)
    3. Current passport (if any)
    4. Recent Passport size photograph
    5. Medical report of sanity from a certified Doctor
