The Most Interesting Areas in Kampala city - Why are they popular

BUKOTO

There are many different types of residences in this neighborhood, as well as a wide price range. Bukoto has a village-like feel to it, with modest shops, people strolling about, and several dirt roads. It feels more like a neighborhood than other areas.

MAKINDYE

This residential area offers a variety of lodging options, from affluent to modern. Lake Victoria is close by, and views of Murchison Bay and the surrounding surroundings are available. The only way to get to the center of town is to travel on congested roadways. There are a few tiny businesses, bars, and local restaurants in the area.

NAGURU

This is Kampala's tallest hill, and many homes have spectacular views. Quiet area with well-kept tarmac roads. At the top of the hill, there are numerous mansions. The Surgery, one of Kampala's premier hospitals, is located in this area.

MUYENGA

An upmarket residential area popular with foreigners who work for the many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the area. Muyenga is tranquil in and of itself, however traffic from Kampala's center to the northwest can be heavy. There are some fantastic restaurants and cafes, and if you want to party, Kabalagala is close by.

KABALAGALA

Kabalagala, one of Kampala's most bustling neighbourhoods, is more of a draw for partying than for living. Muyenga Road is bustling with pubs and restaurants, many of which are open 24 hours a day. During rush hour, the area is crowded and congested, and it is vibrant at all hours of the day and night.

MUNYONYO

This part of Kampala is tucked away by the lake and offers all of the natural beauty and tranquility you'd expect. Outside of the hotels and resorts, there isn't much to do, and you'll have to travel north for groceries and most other necessities. However, if you're searching for a peaceful environment, this is the place to be.

OLD KAMPALA

There are several apartments in Old Kampala, however they are rarely available for rent. It's a terrific site to witness Ugandan hustle in action because the streets are tremendously busy. Sunday is the least crowded day in this area if you want to explore it. Alternatively, embrace the chaos! Just make sure you don't get hit by automobiles, buses, or people.

NAKASERO

This neighborhood mixes an affluent and lovely residential northern half with a vibrant and bustling commercial southern half. Houses here are opulent and pricey, but the streets are quiet, and you'll be close to everything you could desire, including retail centers, fine dining, and even a golf course. In addition, this hill offers some of the city's most stunning views.

BUGOLOBI

Government officials and NGO employees love it. Bugolobi is surrounded by busy streets, but the inside is peaceful and ideal for running - especially if you enjoy hilly terrain. The neighborhood's north end features a good assortment of restaurants, cafes, groceries, and local bars. Anything else you might require can be found at Village Mall.

KOLOLO

Kololo is one of Kampala's most historic, affluent, and expensive areas. It is made up of a combination of ancient houses with lovely gardens and new apartments. The roads are in decent condition, and there are numerous embassies, hotels, restaurants, and pubs in the vicinity. Several commercial malls and the Naka sero business district are within short walking distance. During rush hour, the roads surrounding Kololo are busy, but the interior roads are tranquil. They're an excellent spot for an uphill walk with a view.

NTINDA

Ntinda is a lovely tiny self-contained paradise with plenty of compounds and good, quiet roads. To the north, along Bukoto Ntinda Road, the region has its own 'high street,' with a good selection of stores, banks, and low-key pubs and restaurants. During rush hour, traffic to and from the city center is congested.
