There is a full international cuisine, but they are well renowned for their fantastic Ugandan buffet. In a busy location, it's a lovely setting. It's great for grilling meat.
Bamboo Nest Bar and Restaurant
A lovely wooden structure with a large grass roof. The usual stuff on the menu, along with some Ugandan specialties. Weekends are spent dancing. Located in Bugolobi, Uganda, at Plot 61 Bandali Rise, Bugolobi.
Deep Blue Corner Pork Joint
This spot in Wandegeya is popular and gets crowded early. It has four kitchens and serves some of the greatest pork in Kampala.
Fido Dido
A no-frills, old-school Kampala staple offering affordable cuisine and a large selection of drinks and ice cream. It's well-known and always bustling.

Popular, no-frills spot for katogo (starting at 6:45 a.m.) and luwombo. Anything with groundnut sauce is a winner. Plot 5 Campeling Road, Kiswa, Bugolobi is where you'll find it.
St. Anthony's Restaurant
They don't have a menu, so all they serve is luwombo and sides - and they do it well! The location is convenient for office employees in the neighborhood.
When viewed from Lumumba Avenue, this modest eatery, located a short distance from the French Embassy, appears uninteresting. This business, however, is well-known among expats and local office workers for its robust local meals (katogo, matooke, posho, kalo...), and especially for its luwombo (meat or fish stewed in banana leaves).
